Here we are at the point on the trail furthest from the bus, about two miles in.

Back at the Bus

This tree marks the end of the trail, just at the edge of the parking lot, where a bus waited to whisk us off to the airport. We were off to North Queensland, Cairns, Port Douglas, the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree rain forest. 

And So Ended Four Nights in the Desert

Yes, if you count our night on the Ghan Train, we spent four nights and four days in the desert. Then we flew off to the tropics, to Cairns, Port Douglas, the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree.
